[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]أعلنت دبي خلال العام ٢٠١٣ عن رؤيتها لتكون عاصمة للاقتصاد الإسلامي. فالمبادئ الإسلامية تلعب دوراً أساسيا اليوم في بيئة الأعمال العالمية، حيث بلغ حجم الاقتصاد الإسلامي حوالي ٢.٣ تريليون دولار أمريكي بنمو في عدد السكان المسلمين وصل إلى ١.٦ مليار نسمة.

In support of this vision, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry seeks, through one of its strategies, to promote and support the growth of the global Islamic economy. In line with this strategy and under the gracious patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai —may God protect him—the Chamber, in collaboration with Thomson Reuters, launched the Global Islamic Economy Summit in 2013.

This summit presented a coherent concept of the Islamic economy to people around the world, as this annual summit has become a platform for more than 2,000 decision-makers and business leaders to network and discuss important issues affecting the seven pillars of the Islamic economy: Islamic finance, halal industries, halal tourism, the Islamic digital economy, Islamic arts, Islamic standards and certifications, and Islamic teachings.

From October 11–12, 2016, Dubai will host the third edition of the World Islamic Economy Summit, which will focus on social responsibility, the concept of waqf, and the principles of philanthropy as the foundation for business activities.

• In 2013, Dubai announced its vision to become the capital of the Islamic economy.
• Islamic principles play a fundamental role in today's global business environment
• The size of the Islamic economy reached approximately 2.3 trillion U.S. dollars
• With the Muslim population growing to 1.6 billion people.
